My iotty Smart Switch is unresponsive and not illuminated, what do I do?Updated a year ago

If after installing your iotty device following the Installation Instructions here and turning Power ON at the breaker the backlight is not illuminated as shown above please follow these steps to Troubleshoot. 

 

1) Ensure Power is ON at the breaker.

2) After turning power OFF at the breaker, check the wiring of your iotty device to ensure no leads or wires came loose or caps came undone.

3) If your switch is part of a 3-way or 4-way (shared control of a light or fixture from a different location) set up please ensure the wiring is correct by following our 3-way Installation Guide and Tutorial Video here.

4) If possible, test the switch location with another iotty switch to confirm the line has power and the wiring is appropriate.

 

If after following these instructions you believe the unit is faulty please email customer support at [email protected] with the unit serial #, a picture, and detailed description of the issue.
